CHIPPEWA COUNTY OUTREACH OFFICE (320) 269-6578 The Chippewa County Outreach office is located at the Prairie Five main office in Montevideo. These offices are located at the Community Services Center at Highway 7 and 6th Street. Laurie Hendrickson is the Chippewa County Outreach worker and can assist you with any questions you may have. The Outreach office will make referrals to other agencies, and assist in other ways to solve problems regarding self-sufficiency, energy assistance, housing, and Medicare issues, just to name a few. The Outreach office offers the Chippewa County Food Shelf in the same building . It is available to Chippewa County residents. This emergency food shelf enables the user to come in three (3) times within a twelve (12) month period and receive approximately a three (3) day supply of food. Anyone coming to the food shelf must complete an application listing all household members and their Social Security numbers. Call Prairie Five for Food Shelf hours. Prairie Five also has the "Wear ‘n Share Shop" which sells used clothing at very low prices. It is located in the lower level of the Chippewa County Courthouse on Highway 7 in Montevideo. For sale are clothing for all ages, books and smaller household items. Since these are donated items, you will find new things every day. Shop hours are Monday-Thursday, 9am to 2pm. Donations can be accepted at the "Wear ‘n Share Shop" during these hours.
