MISSION STATEMENT Our mission is to strive together to foster strong healthy children and their families and to promote staff excellence through dynamic programming.
HEAD START IS . . . Head Start is a state & federally funded program for young children ages birth to five. The program offers comprehensive services to enrolled children and families giving priority to limited income families and families of children with special needs. Head Start has been federally supported in Minnesota since 1965. Federal Head Start funding goes directly to local Head Start grantees. Federal and State Head Start funding together serve only a portion of eligible children in Minnesota.
